Every game in SmartScratcher now gets a short, fresh write-up every morning. What changed overnight, what it actually means, and which games down the shelf are worth a look instead. No spreadsheet. No squinting. Just the story of the day, in plain words, sitting at the top of every game's details.
SmartScratcher has always been good at the numbers: prizes left, estimated tickets left, the SmartScratcher Score, the value of a ticket right now. But a wall of numbers makes you do the thinking. A diary does the thinking out loud.
So now, every morning, after we pull the fresh prize data from each state lottery, the app writes a little entry for every game. Hundreds of them, across all nine states, before you've finished your coffee.
Each one is built from that game's actual numbers that day — never recycled, never guessed. If nothing interesting happened, it says so. If a top prize got claimed overnight, that's the headline.

Somebody in the state cashed a $100,000 ticket yesterday, so Dino Dollars is down to its last top prize. That's the headline, but it's not the whole story. By our math, about 40% of the tickets are still out there, and the $50, $100, and $500 winners are hanging around at a better clip than you'd expect this far in.
Translation: the big dream got thinner, the everyday wins didn't. In our rankings that keeps Dino Dollars in the upper half of the $5 shelf — just not the top dog it was last week. If you're holding a five and want a game that still has all its top prizes, “Corn Dog Cash” is the one we'd look at next.
A scratcher's value isn't a one-way street. A top prize gets claimed and the estimated ticket value dips. Then a few weeks of people scratching out the small stuff can nudge it back up, because the prizes still in the game are now spread across fewer tickets. Up, down, sideways — it moves.
4.0 puts that ride on a chart. Every game's details now show a mini trend line of its estimated ticket value over time. Tap it for the full interactive version, with jackpot claims marked right on the line, so you can see exactly when and why things changed.
