BETAOklahoma Fast Play:
which ones are worth it

Fast Play tickets print right at the counter. No scratching, you know on the spot. Behind the scenes each game is a set pool of tickets with a set number of prizes, just like a scratcher. We track what's left in every pool and score each game from 0 to 100.

What to look at before you pick

  1. How big is the jackpot? Every game at the same price shares one jackpot. The bigger it has grown, the more each $1 pays back on average.
  2. Which game has the best odds at it? Same jackpot, different odds. The "Odds of hitting jackpot" column below shows each game's odds today.
  3. Does the game still have jackpot tickets? Each game only has a few. Once they are won, that game cannot win the jackpot anymore.
  4. How much of the value is tied up in the jackpot? Very few tickets win it. Each game's page shows what the regular prizes pay on their own.

The small line on each card shows how that jackpot has grown since we started tracking it. When somebody wins a jackpot, it starts over at its starting amount.

How much of each $1 comes back

Longer bar, more money back on average. Each bar is an average across every ticket left in that game. It is not what one ticket pays.

Blue is the part of that average that sits in regular prizes. Gold is the part tied up in the jackpot. A lot of gold means much of the game's value depends on a few jackpot tickets.

A ticket that wins the jackpot pays the whole jackpot, far more than any bar here. Nearly every other ticket gets none of the gold part. Where a game has several jackpot tickets left, one is counted at today's jackpot and the rest at the amount the jackpot starts over at.

Fast Play or a scratcher?

Fast Play has the bigger top prize on $1, $2 and $5 tickets. Scratchers have the bigger top prize on $3, $10, $20 and $30 tickets. Fast Play gives one ticket the better odds of winning the top prize at every price. The typical scratcher pays back more than the typical Fast Play game at every price.

"Biggest prize" is the biggest Fast Play prize still unclaimed (a jackpot, where the game has one) next to the biggest scratcher top prize nobody has claimed yet. "Best odds" is the game on each side that gives one ticket the best odds at its top prize. "Money back per $1" is the game in the middle on each side, with the lowest and highest game underneath. The scratcher numbers cover every Oklahoma scratcher on sale at that price. Which scratcher is the best one is in the app.

Quick answers

What is Oklahoma Fast Play?

Fast Play games are sold at Oklahoma Lottery retailers and print from the lottery terminal when you buy one. There's nothing to scratch and no drawing to wait for. The ticket shows right away whether it's a winner.

Is each ticket just random?

No. Each game is a set pool of tickets with a set number of prizes at every level, the same way a scratcher is. The lottery publishes how many prizes are left, and that's what lets us work out what a ticket is worth today.

Why do games at the same price show the same jackpot?

They share it. Every Fast Play game at one price feeds a single jackpot that grows as tickets sell. When somebody hits it, it starts over and builds again.

Do all the games sharing a jackpot give the same odds of hitting it?

No, and that's the most useful thing on this page. The prize is the same, but each game has its own pool of tickets and its own jackpot tickets inside it. The "Odds of hitting jackpot" column shows where each game stands today.

Is Fast Play a better buy than a scratcher?

It depends on the price. The "Fast Play or a scratcher?" table on this page compares the two at every ticket price, using today's numbers for both.

How is the score figured?

It's the same 0 to 100 SmartScratcher Score the app uses for scratchers. Most of it comes from how much a game pays back per dollar. The rest comes from how many top prizes are left and whether the odds have gotten better or worse since the game started.

How often is this updated?

Twice a day, in the morning and again in the late afternoon. The jackpots keep growing in between, so the amount at the counter may be a little higher.

Is Fast Play in the SmartScratcher app?

Not yet. We're testing it here first, and it's free while we do. The app covers scratch-offs today.

Like what you see?
The app does this for every scratcher.

Fast Play is a free beta here on the site. In the SmartScratcher app you get the same scores, ticket values and rankings for scratch-offs in 19 states, refreshed every morning.
